Obituary of Laurie Campbell

CAMPBELL- Laurentia “Laurie” Campbell (nee Langlois) passed away at AgeCare Aylmer with her family by her side on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the age of 96.  Laurie is predeceased by her beloved husband Hadley Campbell (2016).  Survived by her children Sharron (Arend) Groenendyk of St. Thomas, Katherine Campbell of Australia, Lucille Coenen (Larry Lines) of Vancouver Island, and Wayne (Valerie) Campbell of St. Thomas; by her grandchildren Jeremy (Landi) Groenendyk, Jason (Christie) Groenendyk, John Groenendyk, Tom Richards (Meagan Ellise), Shawn (Becky) Groenendyk, Bob (Ashley) Groenendyk, Kelly (Chris) Maunu, Kristen (Brett) Fox and Danielle (Jason) Bod; by her 18 great grandchildren; and by her sisters Annie Langlois and Juliette (Ernie) Grondin.  Predeceased by her sisters Jeanette Gerard, Agnus (John) Dunlop, and Margurite (Adolph) Lemire; and by her brothers Eugene (Denise) Langlois and Alex (Janet) Langlois.  Laurie was born in Sandwich East to the late Rénè and Marie Langlois.  She worked at Singer Controls (Eaton Yale) in St. Thomas until her retirement.  A memorial mass will be held at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Parish, 20 Morrison Drive, St. Thomas on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the church.  Interment of ashes in Holy Angels Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570).  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a charity of your choice.  Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
